Audi TT magazine produced by MMN, featuring red 2015 Audi TT on the cover

Audi TT: meet the new generation

Legendary performance, revolutionary design – the Audi TT is one of the world’s most beloved premium sports cars. Now with the hotly anticipated third-generation on its way, MMN has been contracted by Audi Australia to produce the comprehensive guide to the all-new car.

Following MMN’s trademark mini-magazine style, the compact publication features a journey through the history of the legendary TT badge, from its first appearance at the 1995 Frankfurt motor show right through to the new third-generation car, plus a look at the new design inside and out, and a snapshot of the car’s class-leading technology.

Given that the TT’s stunning Bauhaus design is recognised as one of the most iconic of the last 50 years, the magazine places strong emphasis on imagery in order to showcase the car’s stunning form and unique attention to detail.

The striking little magazine is being distributed at Newslink newsagents around Australia.

Star power: a history of AMG in Australia presented by evo magazine

evo presents: The History of AMG in Australia

Mercedes-Benz has been one of evo Australia’s most loyal partners in the 18 months since its launch, and that relationship continues in the December issue with a 48-page special feature that celebrates AMG’s 20th anniversary Down Under.

Titled “Star power: the history of AMG in Australia”, the feature charts the performance marque’s Australian story, touching upon everything from the phenomenal success of the C63 badge, to the brand’s recent foray into compact four-cylinder engines. There’s also an in-depth look at the gorgeous AMG GT – the sleek new turbocharged coupe that’s set to fill the (enormous) shoes left by the legendary SLS supercar.

The feature can be found in evo Australia, but has also been printed as a stand-alone magazine, the latter of which will be distributed to AMG customers and Mercedes-Benz dealerships throughout Australia.

From all of us at evo Australia and MMN, happy birthday AMG!

evo Australia Presents: Toyota 86 magazine

evo Australia presents: the Toyota 86

With its precise chassis, punchy boxer engine and playful demeanor, the Toyota 86 has been an evo Australia favourite ever since we first slipped in behind that beautifully positioned steering wheel. And while we’ve never been shy about our affection for the car, we’ve now taken the love affair to the next level with a dedicated special feature.

Over 32 pages in issue 19, we’ve traced the evolution of the legendary coupe, explored the reasons behind its immense popularity in Australia (we’re the third largest 86 market in the world!), chatted with the key figures in its development and – in true evo Australia style – embarked on an epic drive.

Of course, this fantastic feature won’t just be for loyal evo readers – MMN is re-producing it as a stand-alone magazine (pictured above) to be distributed throughout Toyota’s extensive dealership network.

EVO-exclusive campaign wins top gong!

Nissan and Whybin\TBWA have taken out the top prize at the 2014 Glossy Awards with an advertising campaign that was designed exclusively for evo Australia.

The prestigious Grand Prix prize was awarded to Nissan for their series of print ads promoting the new-generation GT-R. The team at evo Australia and MMN would like to congratulate all involved on this well-deserved victory.

Volvo Polestar magazine produced by MMN and evo Australia

Volvo Polestar magazine

Hiding a 258kW turbocharged engine under its sophisticated skin, the S60 Polestar is the quickest, most responsive Volvo ever. To celebrate this, MMN has paired up with the Volvo Car Australia to create a sleek mini-magazine all about the potent sedan’s success, both on the road and on the race track.

Despite its diminutive size, the magazine is crammed with 40 pages of carefully crafted bespoke content supported by gorgeous images and a clean, mature aesthetic.

Inside, readers will find a review of the awesome new S60 Polestar by evo Australia editor Jesse Taylor, plus a chat with an S60 owner about why the car has lured him back to the Swedish badge.

The rest of the magazine, though, is dedicated to Polestar’s other pride and joy: their V8 Supercar. We take a look back at Volvo Polestar Racing’s journey to the 2014 competition, examine their mighty race-ready engine and have exclusive one-on-one chat with their charismatic young-gun driver Scott McLaughlin.

Our friends at Newslink newsagents will be offering the Polestar magazine alongside carefully selected premium publications at outlets around the country. It will also be distributed to all subscribers of MMN’s flagship title, evo Australia.

Cover of evo Australia magazine 016 - October 2014

And now for something a little different…

We thought we’d change things up a little for the October issue of evo Australia. This month we’re offering readers the choice of two covers: one sporting the usual, much-loved design and another more paired-back version.

Impressed by the beautifully minimalist subscriber covers offered by our friends at evo UK (and conscious that there is nothing like that on Australian shelves), we were keen to explore how local readers would respond to a cleaner aesthetic. And, with its flowing lines and striking silhouette, we knew that the gorgeous Mercedes-AMG GT was the ideal cover star for the task.

Sales figures will reveal which finds favour among evo Australia’s loyal readership, but a brief survey on the magazine’s Facebook page was overwhelmingly in favour of the new, cleaner look. Stay tuned for updates.
